Congratulations to our new Board of
Members
STEPHEN BEACH
PRESIDENT
Hello to all River Towers residents. I’m Stephen Beach and I’m running for a seat on the board of directors. I’ve spent most of the past decade serving in leadership positions with another condominium association and feel that this experience would be an asset to River Towers, which faces many of the same issues as other aging properties.
My goals are few and simple:
• To promote financial and fiduciary responsibility in a way that reconciles prudent financial management with the need to adequately maintain our property, promote River Towers reaching its potential, and ensures the soundness of the financial investment we all made when we purchased property here.
• To promote an atmosphere where management is able to do more on an ‘as-needed’ basis, so that everything does not become a ‘major project’. Sometimes, taking care of smaller items in the short term avoids more costly ‘fixes’ over the long term.
• To promote an operation that is accountable, responsive and exercises effective communications.
• To promote operational methods that focus upon more effective monitoring of contractors and, overall, of all aspects of operations.
I hope to serve the residents of River Towers, to be a voice for your concerns, and I certainly appreciate your support!
Most sincerely,
Stephen Beach
TOM JULIAN
VICE PRESIDENT
My wife, Anne, and I have
lived in the immediate area for many years before buying at River
Towers. The unique setting, proximity to the District and easy
access all to all nearby areas make it a unique community. We
have the advantages of an unspoiled natural setting with tress,
broad lawns and the ever-changing scenery of Dyke Marsh. In
short, River Towers offers unique benefits unrivaled by any other
condominium community.
All of these advantages have
fostered a a sense of community . . . yet, it appears that our
standards have begun to slip. I want to join with other board
members to to help restore the deficits which have so many residents
concerned. Deficiencies in physical appearance and aesthetics
need to be addressed to protect our property values.
If elected, I will be mindful
of the fiscal constraints that all board members need to continually
bear in mind, while devoting myself to raising the standards of
maintenance and performance.
Very truly,
Tom Julian

DENISE DAVIS
SECRETARY
I am running for the Board of Directors to
insure improvements while being a good steward of our finances and to improve our quality of life. To hold all those who we pay with our condo fees accountable.
I would like the Budget and Finance committee to review the 2010 Thomas Downey Reserve Study to develop a comprehensive plan and the 2011 Reserve Budget.
We also need to foster a community spirit so everyone who lives here will respect our rules and our property. Improve communication and hold town meetings so your ideas and concerns will be heard and addressed.
I ask for your vote.
Thank you, Denise Davis
